Buzzite

Buzzites are giant bugs that resemble your average humanoid. They stand on multiple legs as if they had only two and often have extra sets of arms which they can take advantage of. Buzzites possess greater strength than your average creature and can lift large objects much bigger than themselves. A Buzzite's diet consists of whatever it can get its feelers on. They will eat pretty much anything that is edible, and they will eat lots of it. They live in large colonies underground and create intricate networks of tunnels.

While they prefer to live together in large numbers, most of the civilizations of the world do not permit them to do so, and for good reason. In the ancient times "The Swarm" also known as "The Buzzite Empire" gathered together millions of Buzzites and declared war on the rest of the world. Only by uniting against The Swarm were the rest of the civilizations able to finally defeat them. They are now divided into tiny groups across the world.

Most Buzzites today don't remember the might of The Swarm of old, yet they seem drawn to the idea of gathering together again. Such gatherings are quickly put to a halt by the local governments and the Buzzites go right on back to living in small numbers again. Strangely, Buzzites seem very dim-witted when by themselves. When more Buzzites are around however, they seem to elevate in intelligence very quickly.

Fire is a Buzzite's worst enemy. Fire based weapons were used in the great war against The Swarm and to this day, Buzzites still have a great weakness to fire.
