Cherufe

This is a "cherufe" a humanoid creature made of lava and rock, it is situated in volcanoes and it was used as the explanation for volcanoes erupting, more or less, it also had virginal maiden sacrifices so it would be calmed and not destroy all the villagers.

As they frantically pulled the chained maiden up the hill the mountain began to growl, which made them hurry. But the maiden was unwilling and was bashed on her head. They finally reached the top, the summit bursting with lava and the captors panicking threw the maiden in the lava as fast as they could and ran with out looking back. Unfortunately, the lava had blocked there previous entrance and only exit. Panicking even further looked back to see the maiden climbing her way back up. How she had done it was mysterious for she was blind folded and cuffed. The maiden managed to shake off the blindfold and looked towards the sound of footsteps directed at her. One of the captors was William, a young man the maiden met only a week ago and began falling in love almost immediately after seeing each other. William got to the maiden before the other captor, he pushed the maiden as hard as he could, breaking one rib and causing the maiden to flinch and unable to grab the branch which saved her life before. William and the other captor watched the maiden be devoured by the lava and looked back at the exit. The lava blocking the exit was cooling, William and the other relieved watched the lava cool. Just as the lava finished cooling the other captor was grabbed from behind and pulled back. William did not look back he only stared at the exit, which now was accessible, and felt great fear as he heard the other captors screaming. William lunged himself as soon as the screaming ended towards the exit. However william was quickly block by a lava and rock humanoid, which jut as soon as it appeared, began thrashing at William severely burning him as he watched his own hand melt in front of him. The lava and rock humanoid moved back towards the lava pit, fell in and disappeared within the lava.

Does not really explain anything except how what I think of daily. By the way the other captor was Williams big sister, just side info.
