Upon the discovery of Apathygon, a continent west of the Belkin seas, a small army containing 400 men set out to map the area out and search for treasures and riches. The 400 men (being called Conquesteor due in the ladder years of the journey) landed on the western shores of this mysterious place. Commanded by the fearless General Sikor Manunentz, the men set out due east.
The army faced many challenges such as disease, starvation, and animals, more dangerous than they have ever known... The worst of the challenges was the aggressive unknown people of this continent that had no mercy and fought till it wasn't possible to anymore. The biggest of the native nations was the Chungas, commanded by a fearless warrior. The Conquestors were just as fearless though and so the war raged, no reinforcements and supplies running out the Conquestors fought and fought until the last man fell.
3 days later a bigger force of Conquestors came, but not in time as they saw the destruction of the previous army, and bewildered at this they charged taking out the Chungas, in which ended the bloody campaign that succeeded in maps and riches, but failed in bringing back the fearless men. There is an old verse that was recently found in an old library about the Conquestors, possibly written by one too, it reads:
The men marched into the valley
Hungry, and sick theymarched
Knowing they would be destined to fight and die side by side
They charged into the faces of death with a fearless war cry that was heard for miles around
And after three months of fighting, only twenty five were left
Most wounded, all dieing but yet they still were fighting
Zero ever saw thereinforcementswin their war
Was it worth it?
None can say, but the scars left will never go
faced with staying on the battlefield for years to come
they fought and will fight to this day!
Modeled after the conquistadors of Spain who explored and fought in the new world!
