My entry for the 'original super heroes vs. villains' contest.

it was going to be darth bunny,but i decided 'cybunn' would

be better as it is sort of a play on words.





His Story

There was once a scientist. He was extremely skilled in genetics, and enjoyed finding out how animals lived. The species he found most fascinating was the common-or-garden rabbit. it was a sinister and miserable night, one time, and he was working up very late as he thought he was about to make a breakthrough in genetic discovery. there was a huge storm outside, bigger than anyone else in his remote, desolate little village had ever seen. But he was too busy to notice that....


Then, from the floor above, he heard a scream. it sounded like his wife! He ran upstairs, out of his lab, to see what had happened.





Then, he saw his wife. She was sprawled across the floor lying in a pool of her own blood. There was a dagger sticking out of the front of her chest.





he stared for a few seconds at his dead wife, then ran out of the room to call the police. When he dialled 999, he got no answer. He looked out of the window and finally acknowledged the massive storm raging on outside. it had either felled the phone lines, or was disrupting the signal. suddenly from the direction of his lab, he heard a loud electrical crackling coming from the direction of his lab. he rushed back downstairs to see what was going on. his spreadsheets marking his progress on his animal of current obsession (the bunny) had set alight. almost half of his lab equipment was lying on the floor in millions of tiny pieces, now useless. it had he presumed,been struck by lightning. he ran over to his central control apparatus. it seemed infunctional. he hurled himself down onto the steel floor in utter despair.he slammed both of his fists onto the cold,hard floor, then instantly regretted it,as it hurt.





He had lost everything he cared about - his wife, and his life's work. Suddenly, a bolt of purple electricity arced from the machine in front of him and embedded itself in his back. he screamed in pain as the energy of the bolt coursed through his body. after a couple of seconds it stopped. he breathed as small,ragged sigh of relief.





suddenly parts of his body began to mutate. he was growing white, coarse fur. in a split second he realized what had happened - he was (even though it sounds silly) being mutated into a bunny.





after a seemingly endless night, the scientist slowly took in his surroundings. he was still in his laboratory. it lay in wrecked beyond repair around him. he pulled himself up into a standing position and took a moment to remember the horrors of last night. Then, he felt an indescribable surge of energy as his half mutated body tensed up in a spasm of pain. his work was only half completed. when he had been mutated, his genetics had not fully been correct, which was why he was experiencing that pain. Suddenly, the parts of machinery around him started getting drawn towards his limp bodily form. They welded themselves into his flesh, as another jolt of power raced through him. Again, he screamed. He ran upstairs, and out of his house. On that day,he vowed never to rest until his wifeo s killer was dead.
