It was not Death, for I stood up,
And all the Dead, lie down -
It was not Night, for all the Bells
Put out their Tongues, for Noon.
It was not Frost, for on my Flesh
I felt Siroccos - crawl -
Nor Fire - for just my marble feet
Could keep a Chancel, cool -
And yet, it tasted, like them all,
The Figures I have seen
Set orderly, for Burial
Reminded me, of mine -
As if my life were shaven,
And fitted to a frame,
And could not breathe without a key,
And ’twas like Midnight, some -
When everything that ticked - has stopped -
And space stares - all around -
Or Grisly frosts - first Autumn morns,
Repeal the Beating Ground -
But most, like Chaos - Stopless - cool -
Without a Chance, or spar -
Or even a Report of Land -
To justify - Despair.
This poem was written by Emily Dickinson, and it's about her trying to justify what despair is- I decided to do this emotion because I really love the poem and it inspired me to make a skin.
Despair is I guess the feeling of being able to do nothing, and so on the skin I chained her up and made hands hold her :<
Hope you like the skin ^^ it's 1.8 only :3

Quotes from other poems I like too~
#1 about our unfamiliarity with nature
What mystery pervades a well
That water lives so far
A neighbour from another world
Residing in a jar
#2 about a bird flying
As oars divide the ocean
too silver for a stream
or butterflies off banks of noon
leap plashless as they swim
What mystery pervades a well
That water lives so far
A neighbour from another world
Residing in a jar
#2 about a bird flying
As oars divide the ocean
too silver for a stream
or butterflies off banks of noon
leap plashless as they swim
