HD skins making me cry as per usual; okay this took a while so have an essay (aka me whining over wasting my life on this) in the description about "everything" about this dumb skin:
Skin was made in paint.net, aseprite and blockbench if you're curious. (directly onto the .png file with blockbench as a preview when I needed it)

Concept and why HD?
This is a long time idea of a personal skin. It's a dude with a dragon wrapped around his arm with the head resting on his shoulder. This I wanted to do in regular resolution: That was slightly too difficult for me, so that is why I committed to doing it in HD. Not my smartest move but whatever, here we are.
The colours
Usually my colour count is dumb. That being said, on marketplace I've had good experiences controlling the colour amount to a comfortable amount on HD skins. This skin is not the case... Introducing the palette aseprite generated from the finished skin:

As you might notice, that's a lot of shades. Uh yeah, idk what to even say, this is wayyy too high effort for something post onto planetminecraft.com and I hate that I've gotten here, but it is what it is.

The dragon
I hated making the dragon.
The shading
The shading is very very detail heavy, and is meant to somewhat emulate how the textile would crease. That is incredibly obvious here:

It's amazing how much time I spent on this, when it's probably barely noticeable from afar. But there you have it. High effort shading - not sure if it paid off tbh. I am posting this on PMC so it probably did not. The cape shading was not fun either. I feel like it ended up emulating what I wanted it to pretty well at least.

Conclusion
HD skins suck, and the only reason I'm going to make them in the future is most likely to earn money from them lol. Take this as an example of what you can do with HD skins and also why you most likely won't see that many of them. Also the isometric view seems pretty bad for this skin.
