The news came fast. One night everything changed. The radiation spread so fast we didnt even have time to think and the ones who did ended the same way as every other human did. Even if they had radiation masks, those were of no use because the world as we new would change forever.
I had a daughter. Her name was Ellie. She was the joy of my life and cheared me up after my wife died. Enough about this though, once the news came about the radiation everyone got scared, but the inevitable was that the radiation would spread so rapidly that all of us would die. Well thats what we thought. We never concidered the possibility of being mutated into something horrible which would change my life forever.
Once the news came about humans being mutated into creatures that didnt know who they were but just wanted to kill. Kill anything in its sight and contaminate it. Before I knew it, there were too many of them. My daughter she became one of them...
She slipped out of my sight one moment and the next I found her like this horrid creature. Tears ran up my face as I clutched the dagger next to the mutated creature before me that I knew as my daughter. I had to do it or I would have died. Either way I didnt feel like living anymore. I couldnt bring myself to live in peace with the memory of killing my own daughter.
One day, I saw an enormous pack of these mutated creatures running towards me. The anger spread through my body so rapidly that before I knew it I ran towards them even though I knew this would be the end of me. I blamed them for the dread I had to live with and I fought and fought no matter what the cost. Although I fought so much more just kept coming. As I clutched the amulet around my neck and looked at my daughter's picture in it for the last time, I smiled the last time I would ever smile and let the inevitable take over my consciousness and create me into a creature of no emotion.
Edit: so many grammar errors I don't plan on fixing because I'm super lazy :D
