Level 32 : Artisan Archer

:D this is my look at a normal soap dispenser in the united states i wanted it to be as clear as possible and so i only used basic colors

*head* is the cap and pump to the soap dispenser*

*body* a glass soap bottle

This is my first contest skin and im not shooting for the stars my main goal is to get at least someone who liked it :)

I think the soap dispenser is funny opo; lol honestly I could see someone making a poseable soap dispenser in the future zoz; *patents it* but I was a little confused from the image upload at first.

my general rule of thumb is, if there's something in the hat that'll overshadow something over the head portion, darken that area of the head to better simulate shading. The grey soap dispensing part blends too much into that yellow, which almost makes it lost to the eye of the image.

One rule of art in general to make an image more appealing to the eye is to have contrasts. a blue flower sitting over a deep red background stands out more then say, a yellow flower sitting over white. Both yellow and white are "light colors" and unless you play with outlines and shading to darken it and make the yellow flower more prominent and stand out, it makes it hard on the eye to focus on the image. That's kind of what's happening here with the grey/yellow.

Another thing you could have done (though would be very tricky to accomplish) is to give some kind of swirls in the "soap" most liquid soaps have a strange sheen to it, and would have given it more texture. While not terribly important, that little extra level of detail can easily win votes and points over!

Okay :D ill try the swirls definitely but should i make the dispenser more black? and what does zoz mean and whats opo? anyways ill work on this bit by bit everyday till the deadline and maybe if its looks really good ill repost it so it gets attention? maybe you could check up on it and be a mentor to emf ro this project :D i can be your apprentice although sadly its 11:55pm and im tired and have school tomorrow and i must retire but you have been very nice and i could see this scene going places xD maybe a fancy bathroom in Hollywood? lol

o3o; lol well the thing is you're doing well with the skins. the only real issues you're having is working on your shading techniques >w< and some extremely basic stuff that you'll get in no-time. Practice makes perfect!

as for opo and zoz they're faces like o3o and >w<-- opo is like : p and zoz is like..uh...eyes have open kinda thing, like this =o= they're all just habits picked up from a friend.
