Felix is the second son of House Fraldarius. After the death of his older brother Glenn, who served as a knight, his father expects him to inherit the family's status. However, since Glenn's death, Felix has come to loathe Faerghus's chivalric culture for its attempts to heroicise and ascribe meaning to death, which he believes trivialises human tragedy. Disillusioned with the path laid before him, he hones his martial skill and sharp tongue, knowing the value of both.
