Theharlequin19, Futuristic Gladiator

The crowd cheered at the sounds of screeching metal, the buzzing of laser-weaponry, and the screams of the dying gladiators, as they echoed through the stadium. The gladiatorial combat arena of Karotnee 6 had seen the battles of thousands of people and creatures, The victories and deaths of many great warriors, and the most terrifying creatures in their known quadrant of space. And now the crowd waited in anticipation for the challenger to be decided. For when that occurred, they knew what would happen. The challenger would face...the champion.

The winner of the most recent fight, a large lizard-man from Trexcor Prime, raised his hands, the crowd roaring with renewed exuberance. He swung his laser-axe through the air, causing the a whirring noise of the blade to echo through the stadium. The crowd became even more agitated, screaming and chanting for more, MORE! Suddenly, an ominous quiet overcame the crowd, as the announcer stepped onto the platform at the side of the arena. "Ladies and gentleman, your excitement has been noted. For now we come, to the main event." He raised an arm towards the Trexcorian, proclaiming, "for today, our challenger, will face our undefeated champion." The door at the east on the east wall began to open slowly, as the low rumbling of gears began to echo through the stadium. "He has crushed every foe in his path since his first day in the arena. He has broken the bones and cracked the skulls of hundreds of monsters feared throughout the galaxy. HE IS A COLUSSUS AMONG MEN, A TERROR AMONG ALL LIFEFORMS. HE IS...THE GOLIATH!!!!" The crowd roared, as the Goliath stepped onto the field.

He was a large humanoid, standing tall at 7ft 2in. His body was a rippling mass of muscle, most of it covered in hardened battle armor. Scars and cuts ran across his arms and chest. His head was covered in a large helmet that covered his head, and gave his appearance a more ominous look. He walked out onto the field, towards the challenger, leaving small cracks of the earth in his wake with every step. The Trexcorian stood his ground, readied his laser-axe, and roared at the approaching figure. The Goliath stopped in front his opponent. The Trexcorian roared again. Suddenly, he was embeded into the wall at the other side of the arena. Where the Trexcorian had been standing, only the Goliaths fist remained. The challenger's eyes rolled back up into his head, and he fell over unconcsious. The crowd went wild.

The Goliath sat on a chair at the edge of the stadium staring up at the sky. He always did this, every night, looking for his own home, as if its location in the night sky would come to him. He held up his hand, holding a small half-coin in his palm. He rembered fondly happier times, when he was younger and more carefree. And he hoped he'd find his way home someday. He sighed, grabbed his chair, and wandered out of the arena.
