In ancient times, there was a kindom of Beetles, ruled by the Gem Beetle Rik'h, a mighty hivemind who ruled the ocean of sand around him. She was in charge of the land and was respected by the mankind. Still, because she was small, she needed protection from predators, assassins and rebels.
For this she collected the most reliable warriors and made them her guardians. They were blessed with the Wings of Khamsin, the Shell of the Dynes, The Onyx Horn and the Armor of Dust. Just to make sure, Rik'h stole the free will from these honorable men, as she was afraid of treason and controlled their minds and actions herself.
