Melion is the current Guildmaster of the Red Dragons, an organisation of male monster hunters in Zoris. He is not truly a native Zorian by any means; he is actually the son in a set of twins born to Voide, the goddess of the vast emptiness above the planet of Zoris. His sister, Variel, serves as the leader of the Goddesses' Agog, and they often meet with one another to discuss their thoughts on the youths they are mentoring. Like his sister, he has the power to change his form at will, and while many think he is Shandoan, this is a gift from Voide herself. He resides in Flameheart Keep in the Agnus Mountains, where he trains the Dragons in order to bring out their full potential as monster hunters.
