He believed he was to old to go trick or treating anymore, now he thought he was only worthy of Halloween parties. This boy, though he would claim to be a "man", had left behind his childish inhibitions at the door to mansion now looming above him. People were throwing up on the lawn and the music reverberated through the door as he turned the knob and was blinded by flashing lights.

It didn't take long for him to venture through the mass of people, dancing to the rhythm of the house music. He drank punch, took of his shirt, retched like the rest. When the party died down. punch clinging to his suddenly freezing skin. he tried to take the mask off, but it had blended to his skin. He could feel tendons and muscle pull as he tried to remove the mask from his skin. The once plastic disguise now seemed to be real bone, a new extension to who this boy was.

He ran out the door. He ran into the surrounding darkness. He ran until he was no longer on this side of the earth's crust.
