(Based off of the Imperial loading screen from Skyrim)
The Imperials are the uniting force of Tamriel. What they lack in strength and magic, they make up for in intellect. Their origins can be traced to ancient Nord tribes who travelled southward, only to be enslaved by the Alyeid Elves. The Alyeids worshipped both Aedra and Daedra, and grew to unrivalled strength. One day, a woman known as St. Alessia had been given a message by Akatosh, cheif of the Aedra. She rallied the other slaves in Cyrodill, leading a bloody war. Once victorious, they started the Alessian Empire, which lasted till the end of the 1st Era. It fell, only to become the 2nd Empire lead by Reman Cyrodill, whom carried Alessia's ancient Amulet of Kings. Once the 2nd Empire fell, many of Tamriel's provinces warred against each other, until Tiber Septim managed to conquer all of Tamriel, and eventually acheived Godhood. This 3rd Empire is the one we see in the Elder Scrolls series, taking heavy inspiration from Roman and Medieval cultures.
