Let's be honest here... you all know the backstory of the rich & famous Tony Stark A.K.A legal hero who basically started the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in the year of 2008, right? Well when it comes to this specific model of the Iron Man suit he brought in to play in the events of Civil War, he was in the right, but the Cap was wrong.
He had a time limit to passively obtain Captain America & his team of the other new vigilantes, Stark wanted nothing other than for the Avengers to not be torn apart, Captain disagreed and gave the hostile remark "You did that when you signed."
Beyond that highly disrespectful statement, the Civil War & the MK 46 was on.
