Junpei Shiranami (白波 純平) was a young man who was in an accident. He was taken in by the group NOAH, who implanted him with Giff cells which awakened his inner demon Vail. Junpei, along with his demon became a demon hunter hunting down NOAH's failed experiments until he met Yukimi. Escaping from the organization, his inner demon was later sealed in the Demons Driver, while Junpei lost his memories and assumed the identity of Genta Igarashi (五十嵐 元太).

Kabuto Genome (カブトゲノム) is Kamen Rider Vail's main form, accessed using the Kabuto Vistamp (カブトバイスタンプ) with the Vail Driver (ベイルドライバー). • Dynastinae Head (ダイナスティニーヘッド): The helmet.
• Vail Fore (ベイルフォアー): The forehead armor. It is the hardest part of the entire body. It can deliver a headbutt with the force of a beetle horn.
• Dynastinae Disturb (ダイナスティニーディスターブ): The orange horn. It is equipped with a satellite communication device and a radar that can detect enemies in a 100 km radius that can obtain the data necessary for combat.
• Vail Compound Eye (ベイルコンパウンドアイ): The compound eyes. It allows the user to accurately aim any sort of ranged weapon. They can instantly analyze enemies' combat capabilities and weaknesses to dramatically increase combat efficiency. They have a powerful night-vision function that can display the outline of objects in complete darkness.
• Dynastinae Lung (ダイナスティニーラング): The gas mask. Equipped with a special filter that has 128 layers, it can completely filter out toxins and bioweapons from the air. It can even extract oxygen from seawater, allowing operation in various environments.
• Dynastinae Breast (ダイナスティニーブレスト): The chestplate. There is a special function that lets it to control powerful demons and fight together by linking directly with the heart of the user.
• Archi Genomic Suit (アーキゲノミックスーツ): The undersuit. High fire and pressure resistance and high waterproofing allows operation in various environments including the deep sea. It supplies energy to the Archi Genomuscle (アーキゲノマッスル) that wraps around the user's body, the user acquires physical abilities that transcends humanity.
• Dynastinae Module (ダイナスティニーモジュール): The orange armor on the chestplate and the right shoulder pad. It arms the whole body with the power of a stag beetle and strengthens the armor. By extending the energy field to the Wingal Shade (ウインガルシェード), it can harden and be used as a blade.
• Dynastinae Arm (ダイナスティニーアーム): The arms. The artificial muscle called Archi Genomuscle increases the physical strength to the point it is possible to unleash 50 rapid-fire punches in a second. In exchange for tremendous power, the user's arm may self destruct.
• Dynastinae Hand (ダイナスティニーハンド): The gloves. They convert energy supplied by the Vail Driver into destructive power.
• Dynastinae Leg (ダイナスティニーレッグ): The legs. They can support up to 600 times the body weight. However, it will cause damage to the user's skeleton.
• Dynastinae Foot (ダイナスティニーフット): The boots. Upon activating the finisher with the Vail Driver and converging energy into the soles, Vail can perform the finishing attack called Vailing Finish that diverts the genetic information of the Vistamp to attack.

The Vail Driver was the first driver to utilize Vistamps, and is highly similar to its successor the Demons Driver. Like its successor, the Driver is powered by the demon Vail.

• Archi Ohinjector (アーキオーインジェクター): The screen. By stamping the screen, the Driver receives the Vistamp Code (バイスタンプコード) from the Vistamp and generates power based on the animal.
• Vistamp Pad (バイスタンプパッド): The stamp pad. By stamping here, it approves the usage of the Vistamp and changes to a standby state.
• Vail Driverbody (ベイルドライバーボディ): The back cover. The covering made of Astmetalm (アストメタルム), a rare metal harvested from meteorites, protects the internal components from damage.
• Archi Genomuscle (アーキゲノマッスル): The grey artificial muscles. When they receive energy called Vailing Genome Power (ベイリングゲノムパワー), it can draw out power to the limit, while rapidly growing and forming into a suit that wraps around the user's body upon transformation.
• Vailing Knock (ベイリングノック): The pair of activation buttons at the side. The buttons are used to input commands to activate finishing attacks.
• Vailing Ladder (ベイリングラダー): The belt strap. It is deployed when the Driver is equipped, and forms a chain to prevent energy leakage.
• Vistamp Holder (バイスタンプホルダー): A pair of holders at the side. They can hold one Vistamp each.
