King Yildiz was the King of Turan, who made Conan part of his personal guard, impressed by his sense of duty. When a statue that was sent as a war bounty by his son Prince Yezdigerd animated and attacked him, the Cimmerian saved his life by killing the Hyrkanian eunuch priest who was secretly controlling it. The king, shaken, realized that he had been set up by his son and decided to become a recluse in his castle.
