I took a long time thinking over which character I should make. I couldn't decide because I wanted to do something classic yet original and not out there in Minecraft yet. It's a tough choice right? After thinking of movie characters ranging from StarWars to Indiana Jones I decided to create a main character from the book "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck, named Lennie. In the book Lennie is a large, lumbering, childlike character. He was born with a mental disability which makes him completely rely on his best friend George. George serves as a traveling companion that guides Lennie and protects him. Lennie and george both share a dream of owning their own land and starting a farm on it. The reason they don't have land of their own is because this story takes place in the Great Depression. Lennie acts like a child due to his mental disability which gets him into trouble. Sorry for the spoiler! If you want to know more about the story be sure to read the book.
Heres a picture from the movie. Lennie is on the left and George is on the right.

The head shading is too smooth, way too smooth because I can hardly see it. Try getting a base color, not too bright or dark, then make a color a little lighter and a little darker than the base color and shade areas you think it will look the best/natural. Then get very bright and dark color from the base to check the highlights in the soft shadings. You can see leostereo's blog on more info. Same for gloves and boots. The overalls are good but if this were my skin, I would add darker shadows in some parts, like inside of legs/arms and near knees/elbows. Hope this helped. :)
lol, anyways, yeah, I get really random at times, so back on track.
I'm really glad to help people and more than happy to write feedback.
