There was once a 17 year old girl named Miyako. Eyes as brown as the ground, hair as black as the darkness. She loved the nighttime. Miyako didn’t talk to people much. She was a shy girl. Everyone thought she was some crazy girl who can talk to ghosts at night, so they avoided her.


Miyako’s life changed on that one day she met ‘him’.



 It was Wednesday, Miyako was staring out the window, people ignoring her as usual. Until someone named Minoru,, the most popular in the class, decided to talk to her. “Hey Miyako!” He said, ‘What should I say… No one has spoken to me in such a nice way for a long time….’ Miyako thought. “Um.. Hello..” she said quietly. She faked a smile. “How is your day going?” Minoru asked, “Average…” She replied, “I could make it better, if you want to talk.” He said. Miyako then showed the first real smile she had in awhile. Minoru looked surprised. He never seen her smile before. From that day on, they became best friends, and then a couple.


~5 years later~


Miyako, now 22, saw her phone light up. She opened it, seeing a text message. “Meet me at the park, at 6:00.” Minoru texted her. “It’s almost 6:00… I better hurry!” she said, as she ran to the park. She saw Minoru and sneaked up on him. “Boo!” She screamed. He fell. After talking a bit, they saw the sunset on top of a hill in the park. “I have something to ask you, Miyako…” Minoru said, shyly. “What is it?” She asked.



 Minoru went on one  knee, and got out a small velvet ring box. “Miyako.” beginning to open it, he asked, “Will you marry me?” Miyako had tears in her eyes. “Y-Yes. I will!” She jumped up and down and hugged him, he once again fell.
It was a happy day.
