What is COTI?

A clip-on thermal scope/imager (COTI) is an optical device designed to enhance a shooter’s ability to detect and engage targets in low-light or challenging conditions. Unlike dedicated thermal scopes, which replace the existing optic on a firearm, a clip-on thermal scope attaches in front of an already zeroed day optic, such as a traditional riflescope.
This versatility allows shooters to maintain the familiarity and functionality of their existing sight while gaining the added advantage of thermal imaging capabilities for both day and nighttime use.
