In an eventful finale beyond everyone's wildest expectations, the 2063 Grand Arena Rocket Basketball (popularly referred to as Murderball across America) League came to an end last night with Miami Murderteam decisively winning the championship, triumphing over the Boston Bonebreakers (112:78) before the 60.000 viewers gathered in the Emerald City Corp. Grand Arena of Area Three. This year's finale was marked by a record number of holoscreen rentals, particularly within C2 and C3 classes, thus bringing the number of viewers to a stunning 250 million in total, as well as a record death toll - according to Corporate Security estimates, 569 C3 dwellers lost their lives in the riots regarding the outcome of the game, as well as in the Corporate Security and Overseer crackdown that followed. In addition to this, seven players (among which Johnson, Lopez, Giovanni, and the remainder of Boston's A-team) were lost to fatalities incurred during the match, still falling short of 2057 Murderball's player death toll of eleven. To nobody's surprise, Anna Huxley was crowned MVP, with a stunning score of 85 points (and four takedowns!), thus earning herself a well-deserved holiday trip to the Island of California, along with our very own White House CEO, Mister West.
