Nelson Mandela was a South African philanthropist who helped abolish apartheid. He was the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, before he stepped down from the position. Before that, he spent 27 years in jail for protesting what he believed in. After the changing of presidents in 1990, he was released from jail. He then became President and continued spreading his beliefs, not only in South Africa, but all around the world. He will be remembered as a hero, a revolutionary, a savior.
