Her name is Nymphaia. We all know what night is but we don't know who causes it. Once long ago before the creation of time there was a painter named Nymphaia. She hated the day and its brightness so she decided to paint the sky black. So she gathered all the birds she could find and had them raise her to the sky. She painted and painted and painted until the sky was black. But, daylight could not be kept away and broke holes in the black paint. Which created the moon and stars. Eventually day shattered all the paint, Nymphaia was angry. In twelve hours she did so again, this same occurrence of long ago is still happening today creating night and day as we know it.
