There are echoes of the wild... even wilder than before.

Your scout survey ship lands on a giant tree on a newly discovered jungle planet, in a star system far, far away....

The branches of the tree make quite good stairs, so you and your squad go down to the actual surface of the planet. You notice big green "spots" on the tree. If that was Earth, this would be weird, but since it's a new planet, everything here can be weird... And nothing will.

The squad explores the place a bit. Climate similar to the Earth's Amazon, seems like a good candidate to colonize. But everything here is new, so one flawed step and it's not a safe place anymore. Squad decides to split up, and you are assigned to go northwest. The way is surprisingly calm for an alien jungle planet. The walk reminds you of those forest walks you did back on Earth. You notice a big alien predator, sleeping. It looks like a beetle-bear-tiger-orchid-demogorgon hybrid. You sneak out of the monster's range, and you spot something weird that you're definitely going to investigate.

You spot a mossy rock, then another, and a... stone obelisk with runes? That's right - congratulations! You just found some sort of ancient alien ruins! Curiosity now forces you to explore the ruins, which look similar to a location from a shooter game you haven't played for a long time. There's this weird pile of leaves, but you decide to ignore it.

After you go upstairs, you hear a rattle. After you check something that looks like an alien terminal - nothing happens. But you hear a rattle. You find a lever, and you decide to pull it. Something crumbles, and guess what? YOU HEAR A RATTLE! Annoyed and quite scared, you go back downstairs, only to see a corridor, where that damn rattling sound comes from. You hardly navigate trough it - because it's a dark maze - but you finally manage to find a sanctuary looking thing.

There is constant, quiet rattling. It suddenly gets comforting, and you decide to sit on an altar. Who knows - maybe those aliens were so big that this was a chair? Suddenly, rattling gets louder. And louder. Last three seconds are filled with feeling of impending doom. Last thing you see is a plantoid - something like a pile of leaves you seen earlier - running at you. Others will search, but they may never know what happened here...
