This is my entry for the medieval skin contest!
Story: Piero was just an ordinary Italian merchant, enjoying the rich trade that went in and out through his town. His business was thriving, and we was in great joy for weeks. However, his wife had recently gotten fleas and was itching her head all the time, and before he knew it, Piero had the fleas too! Little did they know that the very fleas on them contained some of the Bubonic Plague that first hit Europe in Italy, and Spread like wildfire by just things like common interaction, and trade. Piero first start noticing the purplish black, tumor like bubbles that were forming around his neck, and under his arm pits. For those last four days of Piero's life, he was coughing and in the worst pain a man could imagine. When he had died, he had already spread the plague to his entire town, and nobody would be safe from the Black Death.
The Black Death - The Bubonic plague originated in China and spread all the way to Europe, where it infected it's first European Country, Italy. The way that the plague was originally ( and most commonly ) spread was by Fleas, that had previously been sucking the blood of Infected Rats, put the infection in the human they choose to do their Eating or whatever the Flea might be doing. The sad truth about it was, if you coughed in the same room as your daughter...
You just killed her.
All in all, the Black Plague Had cut Italy's population nearly in HALF, and sliced off a third of England's!
