The Potion Master (PM) is a Coven role from the game Town of Salem (ToS). Town of Salem has two other games, one called Traitors in Salem, (TiS), and the other one which is named Town of Salem 2 (ToS2). Traitors in Salem is like Among Us, but with more evil roles (unless you play a modded version).Town of Salem 2 recently got more new roles, and one of them is the Cultist. The cultist has a single ability charge they can use to convert a good person (townie) into a coven member. Since it is not a Town Traitor, they are just like an actual coven member, which means that the converted townie can also be given the necronomicon Their goal is to kill everyone that is not a part of the Coven. Everyone will get a role that can do certain things, The Potion Master can use three different potions. One is a Barrier Potion, which will grant the person that the potion is used on Powerful Defense, protecting them from Basic Attacks and Powerful Attacks. Another one is Sight, which allows the PM to expose someones role to all coven members. The person will be illuminated which stops them from being able to be guessed by a Ritualist (Rit) for two nights. The Ritualist can guess peoples roles (not including coven-members cause why would you do that lol). The rit cannot guess Town Investigative roles either as well as transformed apocalypse roles. They have a max of 3 guesses (now reduced to 2 after the new update). If they are correct, the person will be dealt an Unstoppable Attack. If they are incorrect, they will waste an ability charge (before the update everyone would be given the message "(Name of player) cast a spell on someone, but it backfired! They must be a Ritualist!"). The last potion that the PM can utilize is the Kill Potion, this potion however, cannot be used unless the potion master possesses the Necronomicon. The necronomicon allows the holder to deal a basic attack. You can only use one potion at a time. The bookholder will also show as Not Suspicious (NS)to a sheriff. Be mindful of any Neutral roles, as they have defense (Neutral Evils lose their defense on day 3).every Neutral Killing (NK), gets to keep their defense. The four Neutral Killings are: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf. If you are trying to kill a revealed Marshal/Mayor and theres a confirmed Crusader, do not go on them. If you have a Necromancer on your team, and there is a dead Town Protective (TP) ask them to use the TP on you. The TP must grant you Basic Defense, otherwise you will die to the Crusader. Town of Salem works the exact same way as Town of Salem 2, but there are two factions that do not exist in ToS2 or TiS. One is the Mafia. The Mafia works like the Coven, kill all people who are not on your team. (this does not include the witch, as the witch can win with every faction besides town. Witch is now on the Coven team in ToS2. They can only win with fellow coven-members now). There used to be a different kind of Neutral that also existed in ToS, which is Neutral Benign (NB). Neutral Benign consisted of three roles, Amnesiac (Amne, now a Town role in ToS2), Survivor (Surv, no longer exists) and Guardian Angel (GA, also no longer exists). Guardian Angel does not exist in the game itself, as you must buy the Coven Expansion. Some roles mentioned previously can only exist in ToS if you have the Coven Expansion. Those roles include the following: Coven Leader, Hex Master, Medusa, Necromancer, Poisoner, and the Potion Master (all coven roles are free in ToS2). The Neutral roles that only exist if you have the CE are: Guardian Angel, Juggernaut, Pirate, Plaguebearer and Pestilence. The town-aligned ones are: Crusader, Psychic, Tracker and Trapper. (Sorry about my yapping, I just really love the game). If you want to reshade this, post a link in the comments or something lol. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING, GIVE CREDITS IF YOU DO IT. I SPENT SO MUCH TIME MAKING THIS-
