There is a land between lands, gateways open to it during the full moon, but never in the same location. Rook is the queen of the land between lands, her duty as queen is to continue to host the dusk ball, people flock from far and wide to attend the everlasting ball, but as the years go by Rook has become increasingly jaded with her duties. then one night a mysterious woman named Kore falls through one of the gateways. Rook takes an interest in kore and her tails from a land she had never heard of before, "London"; a city troubled by monsters and demons and defended by a colourful array of people. Bored of the monotonous ritual of hosting the ball Rook decides to abandon her duties and opens a portal to London.
