Sam the clown is an obscure cryptid sighting from 1973 wherein two children encountered a whimsical, clown-like being at Lake Common, Sandown, in the UK. They described him as being "a cross between a clown, a robot, and an alien". He used a microphone or similar system to speak.



"Hello and I am all colors, Sam"



Sam denied being human. When asked if he was a ghost, he replied "Well, not really, but I am in an odd sort of way".
