You don't seem to understand the concept of a division. Either that or you have never heard of the Waffen-SS, a small wing of the SS which was armed. They were originally not used in direct combat but rather occupation. But by the end of the war, Germany apparently said screw it and used them in direct combat. A prime example of this is the 2nd SS panzer division which was used in the Battle of the Bulge. It however was defeated for the most part and would not be used to attack the enemy again, rather fighting while retreating back to Germany. It eventually surrendered to the Americans.

I know why you might make the mistake of thinking the SS was never used in combat as there were few cases of it. I therefore wish that we could discontinue this argument as I do not enjoy receiving notifications about rather pointless stuff.
