Been a bit since I touched this series! But it's still in the works!
January really felt like a quarter of the year and its only the first month!
We digress however, because today I present you....
🦫El Chip🌮
Since groundhog day passed a bit ago, I thought it would only be appropriate to start February off with this robo competitor rodent!

I couldn't really think of anything that could fit him....other than going full on marachi band!
🎉🎊🎺🎊🎉
But since I didn't know too much about Mexican culture, this was all I could think of without getting called out for it!
So forgive me if anything looks off!

Other than that, had a full on blast with the design! I incorporated some flower patterns on his jacket sleeves, and gave him a big green bow to match!
I used a lot of red green and yellow, because it felt right to me!
The weirdest part for me to work on would have to be the hat....DO NOT.....get me started on the hat. I spent several minutes looking at references to try and get it right, this is all I got, ok!?

But the earrings were my favorite part! The earrings are little golden skulls, symbols of the festivities of dia los muertos, the day of the dead! Even though I don't celebrate it, I love the tradition of honoring the dead in such an interesting and fun way! I wish I could celebrate it one day, just to see what its like!

His facial cheeks were originally meant to be red, but were changed to pink, so the colors wouldn't mesh! It also gave some more color variety to the design that I think it needed! Florescent themes give him a natural smooth talker vibe....perhaps this beaver is good with the ladies...

While making his design, at first I didn't add the hat....and he actually looked really cool without it, so I'll be posting that verof his skin to the stylized Extras category next!
