BackStory
After being shot in the head by Debbie Pelt at the end of season four while trying to protect her best friend Sookie Stackhouse, Sookie and Tara's cousin Lafayette (a cook at Merlotte's) seek the help of Vampire Pam Ravenscroft (second in command at Fangtasia). Sookie and Lafayette beg Pam to change Tara into a vampire so that she can have a second chance at life. A night later Pam emerges from the ground greeted by Sookie and Lafayette who are waiting for Tara to wake from her slumber. Sookie becomes upset when her friend doesn't wake up. When Tara finally awakes she tries to kill Sookie for making her become the thing she hates the most. A Vampire.
