The Freak of Crystal Cove is a villain from season 1 of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated. He is a creature resembling a graveyard ghoul. He was apparently after the pieces of an ancient relic called the Planespheric Disc, which will lead whoever has it to a cursed treasure buried under the town. After he was captured, he was revealed to be Mayor Fred Jones, Sr. After explaining why he did it, he revealed that Fred's real parents were two of the members of the original Mystery Incorporated. All of this ultimately lead to the gang breaking up, until they got back together in season 2.
