A little background information about William Wallace


William Wallace was born in circa 1270 and he was the son of a Scottish landowner. William Wallace was the person who spearheaded his countries battle for freedom and his actions paved the way for his countries eventual success in gaining freedom. However, on August 5th, 1305 he was captured and arrested near Glasgow because he refused to compromise or submit to English rule. He was taken to London and condemned as a traitor to the king and was hanged, disemboweled and beheaded and quartered.
