The SS-Totenkopf was the concentration camp division of Hitler's Schutzstaffel. These soldiers were commonly seen in the concentration camps, such as Auschwitz-Birkenau. The SS recruited men who either joined the Nazi Party during its beginning, or from Hitler Youth candidates who were worthy. These men were also sometimes seen with other SS officers, acting as guards. Soldiers were needed to guard the front gates and provide security during the "selection" process. A rifleman of this division carried some Kar98k pouches.
