a zip file is a file that you can click on, and you will see the option to unzip the file, and after that you can put it into minecraft

No. I know what a ZIP-file is. Have made multiple resource packs and a few datapacks. What I meant, was what was a zip-file that thou did nor know how to convert?
The versions of the game can at list be turned into zip-files by renaming the .jar to .zip. The files can then be extracted just as we wants to. Then one can compile folders and files into a zip-file again by marking them and right-clicking them, and then finding the option under «send to».
So I just wondered what thou meant by converting the zip-file.

Ah. Okay. Well, I know how to convrt a .mcpack-file to a .zip-file. One can just do the same as with the .jar's of the versions of the game. Just replace .mcpack with .zip, then the file is now converted to a .zip-file, and it functions just like a normal folder with all the files and assets. The organizing of files may be different.

But I do not know how to convert to .mcpack. Have thou tested if thou can just replace .zip with .mcpack in its name?
