NOTE: WORKS BEST WITH VANILLA TWEAKS'S AGE 25 KELP

So Vanilla Tweaks has a resource pack that gives age 25 kelp ends flowers, which indicates when they are at maximum age and will not grow anymore. Weeping vines, twisting vines, and cave vines all grow in the same way, so I decided to port this behavior to them as well.

Weeping and twisting vines have orange bits, while cave vines have flowers. These changes are distinct enough so you can see when the vine is at age 25, and in a vanilla way.

This is great for indicating when they are at maximum length and you can cut them so they can grow again, or if you want an extra decoration option. It also adds a little bit of color to the environments where you find the vines.

This should have a datapack compatible sign it that allows so that when you shear the lush berries it gives you a form of azalea flower.

  1. Actually, shearing it would add the flowers. Shearing makes the age of the vine 25. The vines have flowers at age 25. Therefore shearing it adds the flowers.
  2. Would actually require a mod as there is no azalea flower, and you can't add items without repurposing others by retexturing them and giving them a new use, which I don't want to do as every item has some use. If you mean the spore blossom that makes more sense. Also, adding an azalea flower would require a use from it, which would most likely mean a placeable version, which would take testing.
  3. I have no datapack experience.
  4. If I did make this a datapack, it would have to be shown as so, and the other 2 vines wouldn't make sense.
  5. I only plan to keep this a resource pack.

He probably meant a flowering azeala leaf block or the spore blossom (Cause it still isn't renewable, for some reason!).

Yes, even if the pack format is still for 1.17. It will say that it’s made for an older version, however you can safely disregard this.

Age 25 is the maximum age value for the ends of these vines and kelp. Making the age 25 value use a unique texture allows you to tell when the plant is fully grown and will not grow any more.
