These pack uses the Vanilla Minecraft animation method to animate the grass and some other vegetation.
This means that you will probably not see any negative difference in performance.
I made this change to bring more life into the Minecraft world, and honestly, I wonder why Mojang have not done this yet because they have already put animated Seagrass into the game.
This was inspired by the waving grass feature in some Shaders and the one resource pack that I first saw doing something similar to this, Conquest_™. (Conquest_pack (conquestreforged.com))
The GIFs are looking more laggy because they got converted from 60FPS to 33FPS.
Animated Grass (normal)

Animated Grass (slow)
Animated Grass (normal)
Animated Grass (slow)
Stuff I might do or change in the future:
Add one pack with even faster animations.
Animate the flowers. (Probably not)
Better Cave Vines animation.
Compatibility and info:
It changes the texture, so it will overwrite other packs: grass, tall_grass, fern, tall_fern, vine, cave_vines, cave_vines_lit, cave_vines_plant, cave_vines_plant_lit.
You can unzip the packs and deep inside find the '.mcmeta' files. In these you can increase or decrease the animation speed. Example: ("frametime": 10,) this means that the animation will switch frame two times per second. (20 = one time per second, 5 = four times per second)
Please do not redistribute this without changing or adding something. (If you use this in your "own" pack with other stuff. Please credit me something like this: Isenfrost or Isenfrost - PlanetMinecraft)
32x. I upscaled the Vanilla texture from 16x to 32x so I could make the animations smoother. Still at low speed the animations look choppy. If you would upscale it to 64x the animations could be much much smother.
Thanks.
