I looked for a Sniffer Appa, only found one, decided to spice it up a bit. This pack requires a custom entity mod and custom texture mod.


There are two versions, one that requires a name tag, the other does not.


Does not work with Optifine, as the Sniffer model is currently bugged.

I completely remade the mob texture from scratch so I could call it my own.

Hey not sure what the issue is, but the model doesn't load in with optifine on 1.20.4 it just wasn't working. When I tried switching versions, 1.20.1 actually got it to load the texture on renaming, but the head and tail are missing and so is the top texture for the torso. Tried the normal optifine install on1.20.4 as well as 1.20.1 as well as optifine on forge. I opened the model file and it looked fine there... Any idea what may be causing that? I'd really love to see this

I believe this is a Optifine bug. The problem is that it's trying to use the sniffer texture as a base for the missing parts, but I reassigned where the textures go in order to have both normal Sniffer and Appa Sniffer.
In short, most of the base Sniffer parts are blank in order not to clash with the Appa textures. (If that makes any sense... There's a reason I stopped using Optifine...)

I can't, it's a problem with Optifine. It works completely fine with Entity Model Features and Entity Texture Features. Which is both a Fabric and Forge Mod.
