Is there a way to make them work by renaming it in an anvil?

I'd try making it, if someone can gave me an example file or explanation on how to code it with optifine/fabric.

Could that work without the need of placing it in an item frame? The CIT's I used so far were for items only.


I saw one for armor stands, perhaps I could check into it in a month or two and make one for beds if those are counted as entities too.

I don't think CIT works for blocks but I could be wrong, I haven't used optifine much recently. But if you saw one that works for armor stands then it might work, because the bed textures are located in the entity folder.

I saw this one for barrels, but it only works for the person who places them. When we tried it on multiplayer, we couldn't see what the other person placed:
