The texture pack changes all fence posts to use the log/stem texture instead of the planks texture.

Except for the Nether Brick Fence which uses netherrack because there isn't really a nether brick log.

The texture pack is inspired by Faithful Fences +.

Yes, as long as the fences aren’t the only thing in the pack.
Also, my pack only changes the models of the blocks so if you change the log or planks textures, the fences will automatically use your new texture

you could do this fence thing but add gates as well. i think it'd look nice.
