This pack is discontinued as of Icons 1.4 and Vanilla Tweaks hunger preview update

Adds a hunger preview to all edibles. Foods that are bad for your health are shown with a 'hungry' food bar.

This resourcepack should be compatible with all resourcepacks, including ones that change the font. It is also unobtrusive with useful characters like ⑳ (unlike vanilla tweaks).

Suggestions for additional effect/other previews are welcome.

Credits:
- Icons texture pack by WeNAN Studios used as a template for the custom characters
- Inspiration from Vanilla Tweaks

Pack is now discontinued. You can get a custom-character-based hunger preview here, or get a more subtle version on vanilla tweaks.

I don't think this pack's method of character assignment works for 1.8. If you want a similar pack for 1.8, you could keep an eye on Vanilla Tweaks, which should have a hunger preview for 1.8 coming out soon. This resourcepack may also work for 1.8.

i made a simple resource pack which changes the names of some items, including cooked porkchop. It changes cooked porkchop to §oBacon. I enabled both resource packs (this one above my custom one) , but it didn't work. It just showed Cooked Porkchop [​hungerSymbols]. I tested my resource pack before, and it worked perfectly. I looked inside the lang folder in this resource pack, but found nothing that would make it compatible with other texture packs.



P.S. vanilla tweaks also uses \u2473.

As far as I know, there is no way to make this compatible with other resourcepacks that change names. Your RP is changing the name to "Bacon" and then mine is overriding it, changing it to "Cooked Porkchop [​hunger]".

Feel free to change it to bacon in the language file yourself though.
