How to install Minecraft Resource Packs

A lightmap resource pack that replaces the default lighting in Minecraft with a new, darker look without affecting performance.
Requires OptiFine or Colormatic.
How to Install
Download the .zip file

Extract the .zip file into "%AppData%\.minecraft\resourcepacks"

Download and install the latest OptiFine

Use “Options - Video Settings - Quality - Custom Colors: ON”

Select the pack in the Resource Packs menu and press "Done"

If message appears saying the pack is made for another version of the game, click "Yes"

No, because the pack doesn't actually change the way the light works, only the color and brightness.

How is this for 1.17 snapshots? For me it does nothing when i add it to the resource packs folder in 21w13a.

before i use this on fabric with sodium innit, would it make a change? its just that sodium is really far better than optifine for me and if this doesnt work on sodium you should make one for us sodium folks, please. 😥

I really like this resource pack, however since when I looked at a torch while I was in a monument it glitched for a second and now all light sources (without including se sun I think) have the same color, unlike before where I could see the sea lanterns emitting blue light for example. Is there a way to fix it? Btw it's always that way, even by deactivating the resource pack and even close the game.
