Meteor is a realistic HD resource pack that uses the old SEUSPBR material standard, OptiFine connected & emissive textures and a few fancy custom models. Most textures are based on assets from ambientCG (❤️) and edited to more closely match the appearance of Vanilla Minecraft.

The PBR features require OptiFine or a compatible shader loader like Iris, and a shader pack that supports SEUSPBR, such as Complementary Shaders - Reimagined. The connected and emissive textures require OptiFine or a compatible mod like Continuity.

This resource pack is not complete and development is currently paused. If you would like to get the higher resolution versions from my Patreon, I therefore recommend that you become a patron and then cancel your membership after downloading the pack (Editing your membership - Patreon Help Center). I also recommend that you try the free 256x version before becoming a patron.

    • Alternate Blocks: OFF

    • Normal Map: ON
    • Specular Map: ON
  • Complementary Reimagined
    • RP Support: SEUSPBR
  • RenderPearl (newer versions only)
    • RP Specular Map Roughness: On
      • Channel: R
      • Type: Perceptual Smoothness
    • Normals: RP Normal Maps
How to Install
Download the .zip file and extract it as a folder in ".minecraft/resourcepacks"

Download and install the latest Fabulously Optimized, OptiFine, or another compatible set of mods

Download and install a SEUSPBR-compatible shader pack, such as Complementary Reimagined

Apply the recommended settings listed on this page

Select the pack in the Resource Packs menu and press "Done"

If message appears saying the pack is made for another version of the game, simply choose "Yes" and it will most likely work. Otherwise, please leave a comment below

Updated to 1.20.1

Reversed Colormap change from v1.23 as it required the Colormatic mod if used with Iris, which is not available for recent Minecraft versions. This should also mean that the pack no longer requires the Custom Colors option on OptiFine

Added new textures:
  • Clay (Block)
  • Cherry Planks, Wood, Log and Stripped Log
  • All variants of Colored Terracotta and Concrete Powder
  • Suspicious Sand
  • Amethyst Block (only non-budding variant)
Fixed problems:
  • Light Blue Wool texture was broken
  • Opaque textures still used an Alpha Channel, increasing file size
  • Wool and Concrete had incorrect textures in GUI
