Do you love the new 1.17 Axolotl, but for whatever reason, can't switch your server from 1.16? Do you not particularly care for Cod Fish? This is the pack for you! A simple resource pack that switches the model, animation and texture of the cod fish to that of the Axolotl, so you can still enjoy the new little critter, even without updating the game. The pack also changes Bucket of Cod to Bucket of Axolotl, though the color you pick up might not be the color that you put down. The Cod spawn egg is now also called the Axolotl spawn egg.
Keep in mind that though they look like Axolotl, and have a little custom swimming animation, they are still Cod, so they aren't tamable, or breed-able, and they won't attack other creatures. They also still drop raw cod when killed.
