How to install Minecraft Resource Packs

One of the first texture packs ever to be changed to "Resource pack" format!


As you guys probably know, Minecraft is having lot's of changes recently. The one that will most affect texture packers is that now they will be called "Resource Packers". Resource packs are the new format of texture packs, but now it's more organized and offers more possiblilities of customization. And I'm proud to say that CubicLife is one of the first packs ever to be changed to this format, to support snapshot 13w24b and above. The installation is different now, so take a look at the tutorial below.


How to install "Resource Packs": Resource packs are installed differently from texture packs. To install it type %appdata% in your windows search bar and go into .minecraft folder. There, you will see a "Resource Packs", created after you install the 13w24b snapshot. Open the CubicLife zip and simply drag the "CubicLife [1.5.2-13w24b] - Converted" folder into the "Resource packs" folder. This version of CubicLife can also be used as a texture pack for 1.5.2, installed as always

This is a texture pack that's actually very similar to my Dreams of Drean texture pack. Inspired me actually.


Just so you know, if you ever discontinue this, I'm happy to adopt it and keep it updated if you want.
