i just made the diamonds red. im trying to learn gimp so i am exploring the different functions. i just set the image mode to rgb then went to the colour tab, selected "Hue-saturation" clicked cyan, and moved the slider till i got a red i liked. i put it to -170 but 170 would get the same result. also the photos are blurry cos they are small.

Cool, GIMP is pretty powerful once you start to figure it out.
