(EDIT) Settings For different shader users:
Find block.properties file in the shader location then check for Hardcoded SSS settings and turn them off when it comes to blocks include grass_block.
OR
Lower shadow intensity (Screen Space Shadow, Shadow Scattering) to remove the darkened look of the grass.
Every block which has Hardcoded Shadow scattering (except Emissive) are calculated thru the sun path rotation whcih means when the block grass is facing in opposite direction of the sun, thick shadow may cover the model!!

add dirt, more grass to the sides like vanilla, and ctm support for dirt
Change shadow filtering and SSS intensity.
Set lower shadow quality and distance / 1024 is pretty enough, also 6 chunks.
Working shaders for non darkening the models - Photon(main) , Complimentary Unbound, Seus Renewed, KappaPT, Kappa.v2, Nostalgia, ApolloRT, Chocapic (non specified , haven't tried all of it versions)
