This is a Heroes of Might and Magic II themed resource pack. (originally)
Actually (2022) very few textures are from Homm2.
HeroesII resource pack aim is to replace:
- ALL items.
- FEW blocks.
Some blocks, items, and effects are from Homm2.
Others items are from original design, up-scaled to 32x32, and often modified to look as in "Heroes2": dark borders.
Others blocks are 32x32 and tend to be vanilla.
Participation with your comments is very welcome. (For example, what shulkerbox has the best design?)
This pack also include (with their authorisations):
Nether portal animation H2x16.
Some textures are from Accurate textures.
Square Block Destruction.
End_stone_bricks has base texture made by Katalijst, with color and line adjustment. (no more in use from HeroesII_1.19-v2.zip)
You can get H2-ish alternatives images of this pack in the folder \textures\deleted\
HoMM2 music? There is another pack (60 MB) for older Minecraft version.

Netherrack blocks are the "lava ground" texture from Heroes2.
Saplings have thick border.
Ores have thick border (inside the block, the block itself do not have thick border).
Bedrock blocks are the "world border" texture from Heroes2. (deleted in 1.18 v1)
Dirt blocks are "Dirt ground" texture from Heroes2. However, dirt/grass are in 16x16.
Nether_wart_stage2 have thick border.
All Sounds are from Heroes2:
fire, lava, lavapop, portal, level-up, orb (picking XP ball), pop (picking an item), enchant-related sounds.
/random/click_stereo from the "install panel" when we insert the CD of HeroesII.
/mob/ ghast has sounds from the Phantom and the Black Dragon.
/mob/ Wither skeleton has sounds from Skeleton and Phantom.
/mob/ Horse, wolf, zombie, and pig have sounds from their relatives creatures in Heroes2.
Others:
Chests have the color of the chests (in ocean) from Heroes2.
Yellow Shulkerbox have the yellow coat of arms of Heroes2. (Should I keep doing that to the 5 others colors?)
Light_blue shulkerbox: blue coat of arms of Heroes2.
Moon_phases have the Moon from Heroes2. (deleted in 1.18 v1)
gui-icons have some icons from Heroes2.
gui-widgets, the item selection has yellow border to be more H2ish.
unknown server/pack design is the "empty creature slot" icon from Heroes2.
Half of the Effects have Heroes2 icons, other half are worth comment on it. ;)

Hommll was my most favorite game in childhood
Do not hesitate to comment again if there is anything that you think should be modified to feel more like Homm2. :)
