Those are Add-On extensions meant by default for the Ornate 5 Re-resurrected resource pack made by me (Babbajagga).
They will work with any other pack, including the Default Minecraft pack. But make sure to use MCPatcher (recommended).
The pack makes the darkness less ... dark. It's main purpose is to give the players a chance to see even in dark areas compared to the standard Ornate MCPatcher FX AddOn, where the nights are really dark and you can barely see a shi... poop.
Currently there are 2 variants available. One of them doesn't removes completely the feeling of being dark overall, while the brighter variant turns the night/dark areas merely into an eclipse day.
The packs alternate the lightmaps for Overworld, Nether and End as well, including the emitted lights by Torches, Glowstones, Fire, Lava or Portals.
HOW TO USE
You NEED to use MCPAtcher for this addon to work.
I am not sure if OptiFine will work correctly with this Addon.

Brighter Nights FX AddOn
bright version:
Default Dark(less) FX AddOn

HOW TO USE
- place the downloaded .zip file into the resource pack folder within ".../.minecraft"
- in game, move the pack atop of any current packs
- hit Done, the game should become a nicer place to play in ;-)

you seem to know how to work with the lighting files and i'v been searching for one of those XD tired of turning gamma to -0.5
PS.
Try and make the pictures bigger o.o they are freaking hard to see unless you zoom in
you can use this pack with the default mc rp too ^_^
I do play rarely in default mc pack and the nights are just really a joke, I have tested those packs with the default rp and dang it makes a change :)
The pictures... yeah... I am aware of that, it is just the way how pmc handles the uploaded pics, resizing them sometimes to terrible quality...
I gonna upload them most probably somewhere to external site where ppl can see the pics in HD.
