Is this using the actual Dos color palette? or did you just take away detail :Y

Hmmm... yeah, I gotta agree, that looks a little off.

Then again... didn't DOS games get expanded color palettes as they matured, like all games did? Would it be prudent to distinguish between early DOS and late DOS here?

Yeah it does expand its palette, but what I was actually looking for in this resourcepack was a Commander Keen type of DOS resourcepack. This just looks too much like regular minecraft to me :Y

Are you going to change the items into ones from various DOS games? You could have cows drop hamburgers from Keen 2, which you could then smelt into Big N' Beefy Burgers from Keen 3.

Good news: you've got your wish; I've added hamburgers in this resource pack! However, it's not official. They're named beef_raw2 and beef_cooked2. If you want them to work, you have to rename them to beef_raw and beef_cooked.
